Our Over-60s Coach Trip to the Rochester Christmas Market on Sunday, 30th November was a heart-warming reminder of how powerful and joyful community connection can be. Led by Elaine Harrison, CPCT’s Trust Development Manager, the trip set off from Anerley Town Hall at 9 am with laughter, conversation and festive excitement filling the coach. Elaine’s energy and warm leadership brought everyone together, sparking fun, games and plenty of smiles along the way. By the time we returned later that afternoon, new friendships had formed, old ones had deepened, and everyone had shared a magical day.
The market itself sparkled with seasonal charm. Attendees enjoyed browsing handmade crafts, sampling festive foods, and soaking up Rochester’s cheerful Christmas spirit all without the worry of transport or planning, thanks to CPCT’s smooth arrangements and Elaine’s thoughtful coordination. At just £12 per person, it was a memorable, affordable escape that brought people closer at a time of year when connection matters most.
