We take a moment to reflect on the incredible events we held in July to fundraise for our Young Leaders Programme at Crystal Palace Community Trust (CPCT). These initiatives not only showcased the spirit of our young leaders but also united our community in a powerful cause.

This past July, we organised three dynamic events: The Big Beard Shave, the CPCT 5K Fun Run, and Zumba for Change. Each aimed at empowering our youth aged 13-17 with essential skills and confidence that will help them thrive in today’s world.

- The Big Beard Shave: Our dedicated youth worker, Robinson, undertook the brave challenge of shaving his beard after five years for a noble cause. His heartfelt commitment garnered much excitement and donations, raising significant funds towards the programme.

- CPCT 5K Fun Run: Our talented young leaders and staff participated passionately in this spirited race, not just for fun but also to promote leadership and perseverance. Their dedication was evident as they showcased their enthusiasm for participating in the event while raising crucial funds.

- Zumba for Change: With high energy and community spirit, participants joined us for an exhilarating Zumba class. This event not only offered a great workout but also fostered a sense of togetherness while contributing to a meaningful cause. Led by our amazing Youth Manager, Maria Ako!

The dedication and hard work from our young leaders, along with the unwavering support from our community, resulted in an overwhelming response. Funds raised during these events will directly benefit our Young Leaders Programme, which plays a critical role in building confidence, leadership skills, and real-world experiences for young individuals in our area, truly paving the way for their future.
