No Vote, No Voice - Make sure you have the right photo ID to vote

The Elections Act (2022) has come into force and brings with it changes to how we vote and who can vote in general and local elections.
Hence, from January 2023, the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Shout Out UK (SOUK) are running an impartial public awareness campaign that builds on the broad, pan-London coalition of partners who support the annual GLA London Voter Registration Week.
This campaign is run in coordination and collaboration with the Electoral Commission, all London councils and a broad civil society coalition to address the equalities impact of the Elections Act, namely the introduction of photo Voter IDs and the removal of voting rights from some EU Londoners.

These are unprecedented changes to civic and democratic rights. So we need every support to continue to reach under-registered and under-represented Londoners who might lose their vote and their voice.
We know that 61% of people are not aware of the forthcoming photo ID requirement in order to vote and 11% do not hold a form of approved photo voter ID specified in the Elections Act (GLA/ YouGov poll, July - August 2022).
Here is how you can make a difference:
● Make sure you have the right photo ID to vote, because #NoVoteNoVoice
● Use the resources from the GLA democracy hub to support your community or spread the word in your wider network
● Your vote is your voice, so get heard
